The Cowboys
The cowboy played an integral part in the American West history. Unlike the gunslingers of the old west, the cowboy was a worker, working long hours on the ranges often alone for lengthy periods of time.
It was the cowboy that moved the cattle westward to better grazing land. Who drove the fattened cattle to rail-heads to be shipped back to the people of the east. It was the cowboy that had to endure the elements, the insects, and the Indians.
Cowboys worked; and as they worked many of them found it too cumbersome to strap on a six-shooter. Not only cumbersome but darn near useless unless you were within a few feet of what or who you were shooting at. The cowboy kept a rifle nestled snuggly in to the scabbard attached to his saddle. With his rifle, the cowboy could shoot venison, turkey, bear and other eatable critters. He could defend himself at a distance if need be, some could drop a white-tail at 1000 yards.
For the cowboy, the rifle was the only good choice of a weapon.
The cowboys you see pictured on these pages are all available for performance hire. Each of them has experience in live performance, background, and movie extras. Many of them have special talents like singing and modeling. Each is non-union and willing to travel to the job.
